Experience and Awareness of Your Industry Produces Efficient Designs
Since we’ve reached our goals and developed customized services to fit our individual client's needs, more than 80% of our business is unsolicited, repeat business. We are proud of our relationship with the individuals who promote RBI to a favored contractor status. Although our customer base is in the hospitality and restaurant industry, our experience covers a vast spectrum ranging from office build outs, site development, service work, and much more.
What We've Done Recently
Our most recent project involved a 5,500 sq. ft. full-service restaurant's tenth unit in a growing organization. The same basic design elements had been used in all previous units. In working with the
owner and architect, RBI introduced, researched, and helped implement several improvements.
First, the original design included an elaborate back bar with a display wine cellar. We converted the wine cellar to a private dining area and relocated the wine display to the entrance area, resulting in a $15,000 in savings and added seating while maintaining the wide display-marketing tool.
Next, we introduced a new air distribution system for the existing heat ventilation and air-conditioning systems. This also produced $7,000 in savings, as well as eliminated air drafts throughout the restaurant. Additionally, we researched and recommended an alternative floor scheme, saving another $3,000.
Last, we aided in the re-design of the bar area that resulted in a more comfortable gathering area. By making the bar area more inviting to customers, we helped the owner increase his revenue stream from drinks sold at the bar.
Thinking outside of the Box
At the end of the project, we worked with the owner, architect, and franchise corporate, making recommendations for future projects. These included green design aspects and their cost effectiveness, as well as changes to the lay out, material specifications, and lighting. Additionally, RBI acted as the owner's representative in dealings with the landlord on development issues such as, signage approval, design approval, restaurants integration into the larger complexes infrastructure, and required documentation for tenant improvement funds.
